Choose a user name and enter your email address.
Choose the name of your Foreverwithus.net website.This will be the actual name and address where visitor will be able to view your site.
Congratualtions! We will send you an email with a link to your new Foreverwithus.net website. This usually happens in minutes. You will be given a temporary password to access your new website and follow the link to login to your new site to get started. Login to your site's "Dashboard" and start to making your site. [back to top]The Dashboard is where you can setup and control the different parts of your new website. On the left side of the screen you will see a list of links for changing certain parts of the site inlcuding adding new pages, moderating comments, adding photos, changing the appearance and more. Clicking on these links will bring up an easy to use windows to allow you to make changes to your site. You can access your dashboard at anytime by visiting your site, and clicking on the Site Admin Link
Change your Title or other general settings: [back to top]If you want to change the Title of your website, or the words that appear at the top of the page, or your email address. Select the Settings >> General and make any changes you need. Change your Password or Add Users: [back to top]If you want to change your password to something easier to remember you can change it in the section of your Dashboard called "Users". Scroll down on the page near the bottom and you can change your password. You can also add new users to your blog or other contributors at various levels of access.
Setup and Activate your Photo Album. [back to top]Step 1: Before you can start to add photos and create new photo albums, you must activate the photo album plugin for your website. To do this, click on the "Plugins" link in the left hand side of your dashboard. You will see a plugin called WP Photo Album and on the right side of the screen click on the words "Activate" to activate this plugin.
Step 2: Create a new photos page on your site. Now that the Photo Album is activated, you will need to create the page on your site that will be your photo album page. To add a new page, click on the "Pages" link in the left of your Dashboard, and then click on the "Add New" link right below it. You can choose any title you want for your page, but it is very important that you type the following in the body portion of this page - %%wppa%% By typing this exactly it will allow your photo gallery plugin to work and you can then begin adding pictures and making albums. When you are finished click on the blue button to the right that says Publish. Create a Photo Album and Adding Photos to your site. [back to top]Before you can add individual photos to your website, you must first create at least one Photo Album. To create a Photo Album, click on the "Photos" link on the left hand side of your dashboard. (If you do not see the Photos link in your dashboard, make sure you have activated your Photo Album Plugin as described in the steps before this one.). You can choose a name and description for each album, and create as many as you want.
Putting Photos in your Photo Albums. [back to top]Now that you have created Photo Album, you can add photographs to your site. From your Dashboard, select Photos >> Upload Photos. On this screen you can select photos from your computer to add to you Foreverwithus.net.com website. You are also able to select the albums you want your photos to go in if you have more than one albums. NOTE: Although the screen says you can upload up to 10 images at one time, it may cause problems. If you have problems, try to upload only 1-2 photos at a time and it should work fine. NOTE: As of right now we are only allowing up to 25MB in total for images, so if your pictures are large in size you may want to reduce them so you don't run out of space. If you need more space you can also request it from us and we may increase your limit if possible.
Choosing your theme [back to top]By default, your website will have a simple theme with a Blue graphic across the top. For this example we are going to change this to a theme named "Esther" that has a picture frame with a photo of a little girl at the top of every page. You will be able to change this photo. In your "Dashboard", select the Appearance >> Themes link on the right hand of the screen. You will see a few different options for the layout of your site. Select the theme named "esther" and then click on the "Activate" link at the top right of the screen to activate this theme. In the next step you will change the image of this theme. Change the Main Picture on your website [back to top]You can change the main picture in the frame at the top of your website by clicking on the "Appearance" link in the left of your dashboard, and then clicking below on the "Custom image header" link. Then use the "Choose File" button on the screen to select your custom image and click on "Upload" when you are done. Adding a New Messages & Notes page, or any other new Page to your website. [back to top]Click on the "Pages" link to the left of your dashboard, and then click on the "Add New" to create a new page for your websites. By default, all new accounts usually come with an "About" page which you can edit or remove from your site. You can create as many pages as you like on your new site, but it is recommended you create at least one page that can server as a main Messages & Notes page where users can read and leave comments. Title and write whatever you would like on this page and click on the blue button to the right to Publish your page when you are finished.
Change the Main Home Page of your site, and set the default page where all new Posts will appear. [back to top]You are able to choose your Photos, Messages page or any other page to be the home page when visitors go to your website. From your Dashboard, select Settings >> Reading. On this page you need to choose if you want your photos page or your messages page to be the main page of your website. (You can also create another page altogether if you are more advanced or choose to). Select the "Static Page" button and choose which page you want to be the Front Page of your website. For the Posts Page, select your Mensajes y Notas page. This is the page where visitors and others who write messages to your site. It is best to specify one page for all your messages and comments etc. On this page you can also increase the number of posts to display on one page if you wish. In this example we have increased it to 100 posts per page, although you may want to leave it at a lower number. Change the Navigation Layout on your website: [back to top]These are the links on the right side of your website that visitors will see and use to navigate. From your Dashboard, select the Appearance >> Widgets from the left side of the screen. This page is where you select what navigation you want to have on your finished website. You need to click the "Add" link next to each of the widgets you want to add. Please add at least the three widgets in the example and select save changes when you are finished. You can change the order these appear in by dragging them up or down after you have added them. Viewing and Approving Comments [back to top]You control your Foreverwithus.net website, and you will have to approve all comments that people want to add to your site. You are also able to add users, edit comments, and make other changes you see fit. Because there is a lot of virus and spam on the internet, you will need to approve comments before they will appear on your website. Usually you will get an email asking you to do this, and you can see all comments in the Dashboard of your website. In order for visitor to leave comments on your site, they will have be added as Users to your site, or create a user account on their own. You can also create a user account and send the login to everyone and they can share it. Adding Posts to your site: [back to top]You can add as many posts to different pages of your site as you like. Users are then able to leave comments on your post, or post on their own. As the site moderator, you will always have to approve each comment before it will appear on the site. You are also able to edit and change posts or comments at any time should you choose. Logging in and Viewing your site: [back to top]You should be able to login to your site by clicking on the Site Admin link on your sites home page (http://foreverwithus.net/your-site-name If you need to go directly to your site login or dashboard at any time, you can type this into your web browser and replace the "your-site-here" portion with the name of your site. http://foreverwithus.net/YOUR-SITE-NAME-HERE/wp-login.phpForeverwithus.net is essentially a custom blog that control and moderate.
